We Are What We Drink
Our bodies are made up of 70 trillion cells which are composed primarily of water - from 76-98%, so clearly the water we drink is the water that makes up these cells. It follows that the quality of the water we drink directly impacts our overall health.
There have been numerous recent reports on how contaminated our water supplies are. An Associated Press Investigation found a vast array of pharmaceuticals in the drinking water supplies of at least 41 million Americans (USA Today, 3/10/08). So what should we look for in good drinking water? And where do we find it? Read the story »

Eating clay for your health may sound a bit wacky. However, its benefits are not without merit. What makes it so effective is the negative ionic charge it carries. The negative ionic charge is best used by the body for detoxification purposes. The stronger the ionic charge the more effective for pulling toxins from the body.
Since toxins are positively charged the negative ions in the clay attract the toxins, facilitating the movement of toxins through the skin when bathing. When ingesting the toxins are pulled through the kidneys, liver and lymphatic system and out through the elimination process of the body. The toxins stick to the clay. Read the story »

Chlorophyll is an incredibly healthy green drink that has a fresh, slightly minty taste that makes drinking it a pleasure. There are so many health benefits to be found through the use of chlorophyll that it is almost impossible to list them all. But I’ll give it a try!
Chlorophyll is the “blood of plant life”. It is the life force of plants and contains life giving nutrients that are easily assimilated by the human body. Its molecular structure is very similar to the molecular structure of the human red blood cell - hemoglobin. It has the same effect as iron and is a natural blood builder. Read the story »

Not that we need any more reason than the fact that the Hoxsey Clinic has recommended that we not use microwaves. After reading this article you’ll want to urge your family and friends not to use them either. Be sure to follow the link at the bottom to read the full article. There is an amazing experiment where microwaved water actually kills plants!
Ten Reasons to Throw Out Your Microwave Oven
by Anthony Wayne and Lawrence Newell
From the conclusions of the Swiss, Russian and German scientific clinical studies, we can no longer ignore the microwave oven sitting in our kitchens. Based on this research, we will conclude this article with the following:
1. Continually eating food processed from a microwave oven causes long term - permanent - brain damage by “shorting out” electrical impulses in the brain (de-polarizing or de-magnetizing the brain tissue). Read the story »

Whole grain flour is flour that is unbleached, unbromated, and unenriched. But what does all that mean?
Unbleached seems fairly obvious but I found it shocking nonetheless. Bleached flour is just that, bleached. Companies add benzoyl peroxide or chlorine dioxide to chemically whiten, or bleach, their flour. It’s crazy to think that we’re actually eating something that has been treated with benzoyl peroxide (which you man recognize as an ingredient of acne crème) and chlorine dioxide (the same kind of stuff you use in the laundry or the pool). What makes an aged cheese aged? Aging differs from one cheese to another - from just a few weeks to several months. The length of aging determines the texture and taste of the cheese.

I wasn’t familiar with Xylitol until I read the Hoxsey Treatment Diet Guidelines. Seeing it listed as an allowed sweetener quipped my curiosity. I’ve done a bunch of research and am really excited about the health benefits of Xylitol!
How Does It Taste?

Following the Hoxsey Cancer Treatment Diet means we eat a lot of fresh food that is preservative free. Fresh food made without preservatives presents problems when you try to store it for any length of time. It’s really amazing how quickly food spoils when it’s not chalk full of all those nasty preservatives. Delicious fresh, home made bread or preservative free bread purchased at the health food store doesn’t last long out in the open. It’s okay if you keep it frozen, but if it’s out it spoils fairly quickly.
So how do you get around it? Read the story »

Sticking to the treatment diet means we end up reading a lot of food labels. One ingredient in particular crops up fairly often. Vinegar. It’s in more foods that I ever realized.
Vinegar is one of the foods that should be completely avoided while taking the Tonic. In our effort to provide everything you need to follow the Bio-Medical treatment diet we looked far and wide for a commercial mayonnaise that didn’t contain vinegar. I recently found and talked with a Kosher food manufacturer who said they had a vinegar free mayonnaise. I was thrilled! Read the story »
